Inn to Inn Trekking in Italy

Follow the Concannon. Mike’s right. The Inn to Inn trekking experience in the Alps was excellent also for the guide. I did organize a medium difficulty trek up and down the Valtournanche and Val d’Ayas. The area have been chosen due to the nice villages where we could find comfortable inn (or hotel) every night. Chamois was maybe the most interesting as in this small village at almost 2000 meters of altitude you can arrive only with the cable car or by foot. We did came and enjoyed a 4 stars hotel with sauna and few other luxury that I am definitively not used to. Concannon rules:) We did speak a lot about Basketball as we were all fans of this beautiful team sport and we struggle and laugh togheter for 4 days. It was a very nice experience and I am very glad to have tried this comfortable trekking.

The Valtournanche is famous for the Matterhorn (or Cervino in Italian Language) and is where we started and ended the trek. We than moved to the nice village of Antagnod where we did enjoy a fantastic view of Monte Rosa: one of the most famous Mountain in Europe for hikers and climbers. The third day we also climbed the Zerbion peak at 2700 meters from where we enjoyed a spectacular landscape of Aosta Valley. We spot many of the most important mountains of the Italian Alps. Mont Blanc, Matterhorn, Monte Rosa, Gran Paradiso and Gran Combin.

We did try the nice and heavy polenta concia and other special food typical from this alpine region. Inn to Inn Trekking give you the opportunity to enjoy wonderful mountain landscapes as in any other type of trek. It is also possible to enjoy the good Italian food, relaxing every night with a private room and having a shower every day. Not bad for an activity outdoor like trekking! Thank you Mike and Wendy for letting me try this new experience! You are great!
