Rocciamelone Peak Trekking

This trekking is meant for anybody who wants to experience a real mountain environment and reaching an unforgettable Rocciamelone peak.
DISPLAY FULL DESCRIPTION
The trekking is developed near Turin in the north of Italy and it covers a very beautiful wild area.

Rocciamelone peak is easy to reach from Susa valley but coming from the north as in this trekking is by far more exciting. After several days hiking in the marvelous wild Lanzo valleys we will live probably the highlight of the hike reaching Rocciamelone Peak(3538 m): its point shape and being much higher than the near mountains, brought to think in the medieval ages by local people that Rocciamelone was the highest peak of Europe. In reaching the Rocciamelone peak from the north side, we will also experience the tiny glacier crossing. The glacier is very small and it is not required to bring any mountain equipment in order to overcome it.

Autentic Adventure in the Italian Alps: Explore the Wild!

This is certainly not true but still to reach the peak is a marvelous experience. Especially if you decide to sleep at the top, at Refuge Santa Maria, a small wooden shelter on the top of the world. Coming back from another route ensure to see different environments and nature. In terms of bringing kids, is not exactly the best hike as there is quite a few dangerous spots where experience and "cold blood" is required.
