The hike here described is a 3 days loop discovering the beautiful villages of Rima and Carcoforo and is part of the Alta Valsesia Natural Park. The Monte Rosa is towering from the highest passes and the villages are very influenced by the Walser culture, the nomads who settled in this corner of the Alps after centuries living a nomad life in the most extreme possible location for a human being. Up at 2200 meters in the Alps, the Walser were living in very extreme conditions. To imagine life in winter at 2200 meters right now is incredible! Val Sermenza is a very off the beaten track hiking location that will leave you incredible memory!
