varied trekking to get to know one of the most fascinating Dolomite groups and savages, who promises to conquer us. Let's talk about the Marmarole, whose beauty inspired also the famous Renaissance painter Tiziano Vecellio, a harsh and luminous beauty in southern slope, powerful and severe in the northern one. We are in a lesser-known and lesser-known area frequented, despite being surrounded by a multitude of very famous Dolomite peaks. Circular itinerary starting from the Val d'Ansiei, on the north-eastern edge of the Marmarole of which we initially see the north walls. Proceed clockwise, passing from Monte Agudo, where we will be hosted in the refuge of the same name. So we'll go through the beautiful mountain pasture of Pian dei Buoi, to take us to the bright and open southern side, where we will reach the Chiggiato refuge, from whose splendid position you can enjoy views unique on the Dolomites of Oltre Piave and on Antelao, the second highest peak in the Dolomites, with its 3264 meters.
Wild Dolomites Hike do exists: it's Marmarole!
We then go up the deep and beautiful Val d'Oten, among the smooth slopes slabs of Ciauderona and the steep and irregular walls of the various peaks of the Marmarole, until you cross Forcella Piccola and overlook the Boite Valley. We will spend the night in one of the most representative historical refuges of the Dolomites: the San Marco refuge, dating back to 1895, which retains all the charm of the original structure. Finally you climb up to Forcella Grande and then face the long descent along the splendid Val di San Vito, through a rapid and incredible succession of natural environments. Grand finale with passage through the Somadida Forest Nature Reserve. The Wild Dolomite Hike is a trek suitable for sufficiently experienced and trained hikers who are interested in some situations require surefootedness, but without presenting particular technical difficulties. We will be guests in characteristic alpine refuges, all located in positions from which you can enjoy wide and beautiful views, where you sleep in shared rooms with shared bathroom. It is possible to customize the itinerary of this wild dolomites hike so as to cover it in 3 days, while trekkers do more if trained, they can do it entirely in the same period of time.
