Excellent one-day trek with Enrico!
Extremely happy with my Trekking Alps experience!!! Booked one-day trek with Enrico and initial communication before I arrived in Italy was excellent. Enrico did a great job of understanding my athletic ability, explaining the equipment needed and coordinating a pick up point. On the day, he picked me and another couple up from our hotels in Turin and we drove an hour north of Turin to a small village called Viu. There we bought food for our break- Enrico translated for us in the butcher shop and we got some lovely venison sausage and cheeses made in the village as well as bread. Then we drove about another 15 minutes up the mountain and started off on the hike. At first the walk was easy on a gravel path but after about one mile, the fun kicked in and we started up the steep gradient. Enrico did a very impressive job of guiding us as well as explaining the geography, local flora and fauna and thoroughly answering every question we had. The scenery was breathtaking throughout: waterfalls, valleys, views of adjacent ranges and lakes. Although the hike was extremely challenging (and I consider myself to be pretty fit), it was exhilarating and a once in a lifetime experience. Worth every penny. Enrico's knowledge of the terrain combined with his contagious passion for nature and easy going manner made the trip that much more enjoyable. After our descent and ride back to Viu, Enrico introduced me to a local Piedmonte liquor called Genepy Granger as I'd asked him for a recommendation for a good grappa. It was super strong and very good! All in all, a very enjoyable day. If you're thinking of booking a hike in the Piedmonte region, I would not hesitate to recommend Trekking-Alps. They did a fantastic job! Thanks Enrico.
One of Best Experiences of my Life
Amazing. Elisabetta picked us in the train station in Torino and we drove to meet Roberto and another hiker. Roberto had all the extra gear we needed for the trip. We had an amazing hike to see Monte Viso. The view was breathtaking. We then continued to hike down and just enjoy all the weather and beautiful countryland. Roberto and Betta are very sweet and great people to spend a day with. Hope to do it again soon.
Wonderful Day Hike from Torino!!
It was the best day during my last trip to Torino! I was traveling by myself and didn’t really plan ahead, the sun came out after a few days of rain and I was thinking “Why not go on a hike?” So I jumped in front of the computer and luckily found Roberto’s website. All of the information on the website is well organised and with great testimonial, in English! This is it! Roberto responded to my email inquiry very efficiently, discussing my expectation, hiking experience and what kind of gear I have. Since I did not bring any gear with me, the next day he came prepared with all the hiking essentials I will need for the day hike! We hiked on the trails close to Bovile. He picked a trail that is not too challenging for a beginner like me, with stunning views as rewards!!! The entire experience was great and I have been inspired to hike almost every weekend since I came back to the Bay Area! Thank you Roberto! I still keep in mind your hiking tips ” Don’t stop until the end” every time I am on the trail exploring new places 🙂Highly recommending Roberto to anyone who is looking for an experienced and fun mountain guide when planning your visit in Torino!
On Top Of The World!!!
My husband and I did an EXCELLENT hike with Roberto!!! The difficulty that he chose was just right for us. It was a little bit foggy down at the bottom, but after we started climbing higher than the clouds, the view was AMAZING!!! We always felt safe with Roberto and he spent extra time pointing things out to us or just to check if we were OK/having fun. Even if you are not a professional hiker, ANYONE/EVERYONE should go on a hike with Roberto! He really knows his stuff and we can honestly say it was one of the most amazing experiences of our lives! Like us, he will definitely find the right path for you… 🙂Thanks again Roberto, see you next time!!!

Great experience! Roberto (the local guide) planned a perfect one-day hike near Turin. He managed all issues in an excellent manner: target according to my availability, the weather, timing, etc. The views from the peak were astonishing. He transmitted not only his knowledge about landscapes, peaks and mountain ranges, but also his passion about history, flora and fauna. Roberto is an awesome guide! It was definitely an amazing time. I highly recommend everyone to sign up a trek with him!
Breathtaking and thrilling!
There was no better way to bring in the new year than with a trek through the Italian Alps. Roberto could not have been better. We became fast friends, chatting on the drive up to the mountain and along the way as he encouraged us to reach the top. He loves the mountains deeply and even though this must have been his thousandth trek, he stopped often to admire the beauty and vastness. His love for the hills inspired us to do the same, really taking in their grandeur and appreciating this incredible day. We would highly recommend any trek with Roberto.
Alps Trekking from Salbertrand to Pramand Fort
It was a very pleasant experience hiking through the alps getting deeper and deeper into the mountains. We walked 3 hours in a very nice path, filled with snow, where we got to see falcons, and chamois (goat-antelope) walking through the pine trees, with the most beautiful peaks as a background. We were a group of 9, and we all enjoyed the hike very much, but also de local liqueurs degustation at the end.- Very professional guide - Affordable price - Totally flexible to suit your group - 100% recommended
Wonderful one day experience!
Our guided hike with Roberto was nothing short of perfect. He took myself and my girlfriend on a day hike into the Italian Alps about an hour and a half north of Torino. We explained to him our hiking experience and what we wanted out of the hike and he modeled the hike specifically for us. It was the perfect amount of difficulty and was one of the most beautiful hikes I have ever been on. The entire trip was absolutely enjoyable. Not only was the hike awesome, Roberto is a great guy and it was a pleasure conversing with him the entire time. He is very intelligent and has a great sense of humor, couldn't really ask for more. If you are in Torino and are interested in the beauty of the mountains, contacting Roberto is a MUST! He has been hiking this area since he was 6 years old and knows these mountains like the back of his hand.
Great day-hike to nearby Mt. Barrouard
Roberto accommodated my fiancee and I with an awesome day-hike to nearby Mt. Barrouard. With pick-up and drop-off in Torino, we had very little to do besides bringing our boots and enjoying the experience. The hike was strenuous (about 6 hours of hiking probably) but technically not challenging, and we were lucky to get great views of the valley and nearby mountains for most of it. Roberto was a very pleasant conversationalist and chatting with him actually felt like the most legitimately cultural activity we engaged in during our entire Italy trip. Feel free to bring water and snacks along to fit your needs, as Roberto seemingly has a unique ability to thrive on the spring water and wild berries found in the mountains!
