DISPLAY FULL DESCRIPTION
Natural Park Snowshoeing is an amazing opportunity to live three days of silence while most of the mountain lovers will be skiing: the luxury of solitude and pure wilderness. In this specific case, we will reach the Orsiera bivouac hut at 2000 meters of altitude. A small hut 6 Km and 3 hours of walk far from every human activity. The shelter is a 10-bed hut with a small wooden stove. The area next to the refuge is populated by animals also in winter and will be not rare to see chamois and ibexes and many even deer. The second night depends on our energy and will. There is the chance to go to sleep in a mountain lodge with people serving us the food if this is open(it depends on the conditions). In case of very good conditions, we could move firther in Susa Valley to reach the Avanzà Shelter at the border with France. This hut is 5-6 hours of walk away from the car and need the good condition of participants and also of the snow: in case of soft snow or powder the hut in unreachable. In this case, we will change our target going at Balma shelter in Val Sangone.

Reviews for this Hike

The best personal Guide I could ask for
In Brief: Great guide. Great locations. Multiple choices of locations based on your experience. Friendly. Understanding. Affordable. The best experience in Italy! The experience was one to be cherished for the whole life. The hut was at a perfect distance of trek and it was isolated enough for us to get away from the hush and buzz of the city. I would greatly like to thank Roberto and his family for the great experience they provided me and my sister. I look at Italians in a different light after the experience I had with Roberto and his family.

    Italy’s trip Best experience!
As soon as I met Roberto, I knew that we were in excellent hands. Throughout our trek Roberto was very safety conscious. He knew the area we were hiking in very well and always made sure that we were comfortable with the route we were taking. Feeling secure and having full confidence in Roberto's abilities left my wife Katherine and I with not much else to do than enjoy the environment! To say that we were awe struck doesn't do how we felt justice! The views of the Alps range were magnificent and Roberto was full of interesting facts to share. We traveled though forests were the silence was deafening and wide open valleys where we spotted Chamois along the ridges. In short the route was varied and always beautiful. The hut we slept in en route was well maintained and comfortable enough to get a full nights sleep.  Despite having a great time on the mountain, I was most impressed with Roberto's commitment to us as his guests! Our hike with Roberto was probably the most enjoyable time we spent in Italy. We went away not only having gained great memories but also new friends.
