Self Guided Hikes
Self guided hikes can be organized in several ways and there is a very high degree in flexibility. That is why we did not make an exhaustive description of our proposals. They are only suggestions to help you choose a specific area.
Self Guided or Assisted Hike?
All Self Guided Treks are handled by the Trekking Alps Tour Operator, Verticalife. You will be provide d with you with all the e-maps, GPS waypoints, a detailed description of every day hike and the bookings for your Self guided Tours. The Self Guided Tours are a good options if you prefer to explore the Alpine Area on your own and you do not want to think about anything. As you go by yourself all the accommodation must be Rifugio or Hotel and we provide Self Guided services only for Summer Hikes(between June and September). In the rest of the Year contact us for a Guided Hikes: Your guide will choose for you a safe and cool itinerary!
The Self guided hikes are slightly less expensive than Guided Hike. If you want to save money you can do Assisted Hike. The guide will work for a consultant, giving you all the information you need, with GPX tracks and everything but you will pay directly the huts.

Self Guided, Assisted or Guided Hike
Guided and Self Guided hikes are both vary nice options and is important to choose the right one. Also we work a lot as consultant which is an even lighter version of self guided: the guide will work as a consultant and will help you to choose the best path for you.

Self Guided Tours are not for beginners and they are fit for those who like to explore the World by themsleves. Guided Hikes are the only option for non-Summer season, where snow is an important factor and you can’t choose the target without knowing the exact conditions.
Also joining a planned guided hike you will hike with companions. Which is the perfect solution for solo hikers.
If you are confident with mountain environment and you like maps and find your itinerary go for a Assisted or Self guided!
