Day Hike in Aosta
Roberto was an excellent guide who was easily contactable, knew the area well and helped us to select a day hike suitable for our capabilities. He also provided us with hiking boots and trekking poles and helped us in areas where we struggled. It was a perfect day for a hike and I wish I've booked a longer tour! Do not visit Turin without visiting the Alps! 🙂

Great hike with a great guide
We had such a great time hiking in the Aosta Valley with Roberto! The weather and season were ideal, and the hike was perfect for us - challenging enough to feel like a victory but not too difficult or exhausting. Roberto was very knowledgeable and was a lot of fun to hike with. It was especially helpful that he drove us out to the mountains from Torino. I would highly recommend to anyone to book Roberto to explore the Alps!

Great Hiking in The Alps!!!
Irina (gf) and I hiked with the fantastic guide Enrico for a few days! I think just about anyone would enjoy Enrico. He is a really good hiker, and knows the areas well. He lets you set the pace of the adventure while making suggestions, and he also has lots of interesting things to talk about on a variety of subjects, including local information.I wouldn't say it was a "must-see" experience, but the hiking, cheese, wine, hut, and overall alps experience was very awesome. I enjoyed this much more than for just the visuals. Mt Blanc is probably the superior visual, which can be looked up on google images, but this was the superior experience. The food was absolutely amazing. Hiking was amazing. Paragliding was amazing. ALPS = AMAZING. ENRICO = SUPER AMAZINGWord to the wise, the hiking was unlike any American hiking I've ever done. I do most of my hiking in tennis shoes or flip flops, even if it's a big 10 mile approach to a rock climbing destination. You can't get away with that on these types of trails. It's just a different type of hiking - more technical for sure. Proper grip shoes and hiking poles strongly recommended. I'm glad I heeded Enrico's advice and brought proper hiking shoes.

Sensational wildlife spotting
I did a 2 day hike with Enrico, to the Lanza valley. Enrico has excellent English, a great amount of knowledge of the area, and some cool stories to tell as you hike along. He took us to an unguarded hut in a remote location, which was very special! We saw chamois, ibex and even deer running down the cliffs - an awe inspiring sight! I booked late and Enrico went out of his way to fit me in to another group, of similar ability. His pickup instructions were very clear, all communication was very clear. Overall one of my best guided hiking experiences!

Great short break in the Alps
We were very lucky to find Roberto to take us round Gran Paradiso National Park. We were training for Kilimanjaro and although the altitude was limited by snow cover, the steep hiking was great practice which we just can't get in the UK. Roberto was really friendly and knowledgeable and gave us the opportunity to try some great local cheeses whilst staying in surprisingly sophisticated and comfortable huts. We would definitely travel with Roberto again and are looking forward to exploring more of the Italian Alps.

Wonderful trip to Fenis Aosta Valley!
It was a wonderful two days hiking in Aosta Valley, don't need to mention the beautiful snow mountains. Enrico is a great guide, he prepared everything we need for the trip. The facility in the mountain hut was luxury! There is light, gas, and even heat! I will come back to Alps again!

Excellent one-day trek with Enrico!
Extremely happy with my Trekking Alps experience!!! Booked one-day trek with Enrico and initial communication before I arrived in Italy was excellent. Enrico did a great job of understanding my athletic ability, explaining the equipment needed and coordinating a pick up point. On the day, he picked me and another couple up from our hotels in Turin and we drove an hour north of Turin to a small village called Viu. There we bought food for our break- Enrico translated for us in the butcher shop and we got some lovely venison sausage and cheeses made in the village as well as bread. Then we drove about another 15 minutes up the mountain and started off on the hike. At first the walk was easy on a gravel path but after about one mile, the fun kicked in and we started up the steep gradient. Enrico did a very impressive job of guiding us as well as explaining the geography, local flora and fauna and thoroughly answering every question we had. The scenery was breathtaking throughout: waterfalls, valleys, views of adjacent ranges and lakes. Although the hike was extremely challenging (and I consider myself to be pretty fit), it was exhilarating and a once in a lifetime experience. Worth every penny. Enrico's knowledge of the terrain combined with his contagious passion for nature and easy going manner made the trip that much more enjoyable. After our descent and ride back to Viu, Enrico introduced me to a local Piedmonte liquor called Genepy Granger as I'd asked him for a recommendation for a good grappa. It was super strong and very good! All in all, a very enjoyable day. If you're thinking of booking a hike in the Piedmonte region, I would not hesitate to recommend Trekking-Alps. They did a fantastic job! Thanks Enrico.

Beautiful views, Off-trail adventuring, and Irreplaceable Memories
We did the 3-day, 2-night hike with Enrico (Day 1 and 2), and Giulia (Day 3). We stayed in a mountain hut the first night and more of a bnb the second night. Enrico was very knowledgeable about the region, the wildlife, the trails, and the weather patterns. That alone made the trek very interesting. Every time we took a break, he pointed out the nearby wildlife and explained the livelihood of people living in/near the Alps. If I recall, the level of our hike was "moderate" and I would say it is good for people with some hiking experience and are okay with some strenuous incline. I will note that we DID go off-trail for a bit (on-purpose) which made for a more adventurous (and strenuous) hike, and it was super enjoyable! The guides will cater the trek around your comfort level and will only push if you're up for the challenge. The mountain hut was cozy and it was nice to not have to set up your own shelter. I think we would have appreciated it even more if we were hiking in the winter and were getting out of the cold. The bnb was wonderful and the food was amazing. I would definitely recommend a taste of both mountain huts and bnbs if you can swing it.I'd recommend any sort of multi-day trek for anyone remotely interested in trekking the Alps in some way. There's a trek for all ages and fitness levels.
