Ladies Trek in the Italian Alps

The Ladies trek we had in late March this year was definitively a wonderful experience. I was the only lucky guy among 5 very smart and nice ladies. The hike was orgininally organized by Lauren and Kara, a couple of siters from Cleveland Ohio, that involved also her sister Raechel, Kara’s friend Madison and finally Rawan from Nazareth, in Israel. It was pretty clear from the starting point that the company really pleasent and have the perfect mood of having fun. We’ve been hiking and laughing during all the trip and it was interesting for me to relate with a group of girls only. They are certainly more mature with respect to men at their age. We had very nice conversations in the shelter and they really accept the challange with great spirit! Our target was Rifugio Dondena, in the Champorcher valley. The days were absolutely beautiful and we really could enjoy our alps trekking in the best possible conditions. There was still a lot of snow but it was not too soft and the temperature was very comfortable.

The walk to the hut was not particularly steep but pretty long. After a short break in the shelter we’ve been hiking more till 2300 meters reaching a very nice spot where to enjoy a very nice sunset over the Monte Rosa. The next day we’ve been hiking in the middle of nowhere among clouds that allowed us to see some amazing Alpine scenery as you can see from the picutres.

This Ladies Trek was absolutely a wonderful experience and I really want to thanks all the partecipants as it was super pleasent to spend this two days with you!
